At Delve Jewellery, we are devoted to ensuring that every piece of jewellery you acquire from us is a source of enduring delight. Our commitment extends beyond the exceptional quality and ethical provenance of our lab-grown diamonds to encompass a seamless and reassuring client experience. Should your purchase not meet your expectations entirely, we offer a straightforward returns and exchange process. 

Our commitment to your satisfaction 

We invite you to return or exchange any eligible item within 30 days from the date you receive your order. We strive to make this process as effortless as possible, ensuring your confidence in purchasing with Delve Jewellery. 

Eligibility for return or exchange 

To qualify for a return or exchange, your item must meet the following criteria: 

  • Condition: The item must be in its original, pristine, unworn, and unaltered condition. It should show no signs of wear, damage, resizing (unless performed by Delve Jewellery prior to dispatch), or modification of any kind. 
  • Original Packaging: The item must be returned with all its original packaging, including the jewellery box, protective materials, and any accompanying documents (such as diamond certificates or warranty cards). 
  • Security Tag: If your item arrived with a security tag attached, this must remain intact and untampered with for the return to be accepted. 
  • Timeliness: The return must be initiated and dispatched back to us within the 30-day window following receipt of your order. 

Non-returnable items 

Please note that the following items are generally excluded from our return and exchange policy, except in cases where statutory rights apply (e.g., faulty goods): 

  • Bespoke or Custom-Made Items: Jewellery specifically created, designed, or significantly modified to your unique specifications. 
  • Engraved Items: Pieces that have been personalised with engraving as per your request. 
  • Items Purchased During Final Sale or Promotional Events: Items explicitly marked as 'final sale' or purchased under specific promotional terms that exclude returns. 
  • Items Showing Signs of Wear or Damage: Any piece that has been worn, damaged, altered, or resized after delivery. 

Initiating a return or exchange (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany) 

  1. Contact Our Support Team: Please email our dedicated Support team at hello@delvejewellery.com or send us a WhatsApp message on +31 6 86820520 within 30 days of receiving your order. Kindly provide your order number and the reason for your return or exchange request. 
  2. Receive Return Authorisation & Instructions: Our Support team will guide you through the process and, upon approval, provide you with a Return Authorisation Number (RAN). The RAN is a unique reference code specifically for your return. It allows our warehouse team to immediately identify your parcel upon arrival and link it to your customer record and return request, ensuring efficient and accurate processing. You will also receive detailed instructions for returning the item to our warehouse in Amsterdam, including a complimentary, insured, pre-paid return shipping label for use within the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. 
  3. Package Your Item Securely: Please package the item carefully in its original packaging to prevent damage during transit. Include all original contents and documentation. Clearly mark the RAN on the outside of the parcel as instructed by our Support team. This external visibility is crucial for our receiving department to sort and prioritise your return swiftly. 
  4. Dispatch Your Return: Arrange for collection or drop off the parcel using the provided pre-paid label and designated courier service. Please retain proof of postage. 

Returns from other countries 

For clients outside the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, please contact our Support team (details below) for return authorisation and specific instructions. While we accept eligible international returns within the 30-day window, please note that return shipping costs, insurance, customs duties, and any applicable taxes are the responsibility of the client. The return address (our Amsterdam warehouse) and your unique RAN will be provided with your instructions. We strongly recommend using a reputable, insured, and trackable shipping service. Delve Jewellery cannot be held liable for returned items lost or damaged in transit. Remember to clearly mark the RAN on the outside of your parcel. 

Inspection and processing 

Upon receipt of the returned item at our Amsterdam facility, it will undergo a thorough quality inspection by our specialist team to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria outlined above. The RAN allows us to expedite this process. This inspection typically takes 3-5 business days. 

  • Approved Returns: If the return is approved, we will process your refund or exchange. 
  • Rejected Returns: If the item does not meet our return criteria (e.g., signs of wear, damage, missing components), it will not be accepted for refund or exchange, and we will contact you to arrange its return to you at your expense. 

Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days following the completion of the inspection. 
  • The refund will be issued to the original method of payment used for the purchase. 
  • Please allow additional time for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer. 
  • Original shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable unless the item was faulty or incorrect. 

Exchanges

  • If you wish to exchange your item for another piece, please indicate this when contacting our Support team. 
  • Exchanges are subject to availability. We will assist you in finding a suitable alternative. 
  • Any price difference will be handled accordingly; we will either charge the additional amount or refund the difference. 
  • The new item will be dispatched once the original returned item has been received, inspected, and approved, and any price difference settled. 

Faulty or incorrect items 

In the unlikely event that you receive an item that is faulty, damaged upon arrival, or incorrect, please contact our Support team immediately (within 48 hours of receipt if possible) providing your order number and details of the issue, including photographs if helpful. We will arrange for the item's return at our expense and offer a replacement, repair, or full refund as appropriate, in accordance with your statutory rights. 

Your statutory rights 

This Returns & Exchanges Policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer law, particularly those related to faulty or misdescribed goods.
